From May – October we offer guided tours every Sunday at 2 pm. Registration is not required. More information under Visitor Tours. In addition, tours for groups can be arranged individually.

Is it possible to visit the area outside visiting hours?
In principle, we don’t mind if you take a look around during the day. However, please observe the “Rules on the area”. Please ensure that you have left the grounds by 18:00 at the latest.

What rules apply on the area?
Outside the above visiting hours, switch your mobile phone to airplane mode.
Please always stay on the asphalted paths, there are protected plants on the meadows.
Do not enter the swivel area of the 10-m mirror or the area of the small mirrors at the back of the site.
There is a private house on the site. Please be considerate of the residents and stay away.

Are there any parking spaces?
Yes. Please park in the upper car park. We also don’t mind if you park (during the day only!) and walk around the area a bit.

Is the Astropeiler barrier-free?
The Astropeiler building is not barrier-free, and the entrance also has steps. We can provide access to the ground floor by prior arrangement.

What are the rules for dogs?
Please keep your dogs on a leash on the premises. However, dogs cannot be taken into the building during tours.

May I take photographs?
For strictly private purposes, you may take unrestricted photographs during visiting hours. Outside visiting hours, we may have to ask you not to take photographs. This is because digital cameras can cause interference. However, photographs outside visiting hours may only be taken during the day. If you would like to take photographs at night, please contact us in advance.
Photo and film shoots for commercial purposes, publications or similar publications require prior permission and appointment without exception.

Is it allowed to fly a drone?
Under no circumstances! The radio control of drones interferes with our facilities. Also, most of the surrounding area is a no-fly zone. Violations will be prosecuted by us without exception. If you absolutely want to take drone pictures, then contact us with a long lead time. Please also read this article (only in german).
